NHK's initial R&D into the cutting-edge 8K technology known as "Super Hi-Vision" began back in 1995. The resounding success of this innovative venture has culminated in the launch of the world's first dedicated 4K and 8K channels on December 1st, 2018 in Japan. This incredible ultra-high definition video and 22.2ch surround sound audio makes the viewers feel as if they are right there, at the heart of the action.
WHAT IS 8K?
With picture resolutions at 7680 x 4320, 8K is 4 times clearer as 4K and 16 times sharper than HD, along with the 22.2-channel surround sound audio, our 8K content offers an immersive visual you have never experienced before.

We have five (5) non-linear edit suites equipped with the latest versions of the most popular editing software. Our audio mix room features a sound booth for voiceover recordings as well as a 5.1 surround sound audio editing capability. Our team of in-house seasoned engineers and operators facilitate the post production workflow as well as our live production in the studio with multiple cameras and green screens.
